“Super Dumpling"

Sometime in the fall of 2005, somewhere in the city of Los Angeles,Super Dumpling came to inception at the hands of Wen Feng and Da Xu.Around that time, Wen Feng was contemplating of starting his own band, as an outlet for his musical ideas. He wanted to create music that moved him. As the story goes, during one sunny LA afternoon, Feng was lounging at a roadside coffee shop with Da, when he suddenly uttered the words "Super Dumpling." It came to him then as the perfect name for his new band. Da thought so as well. Right there and then, Super Dumpling was born.

The meaning of Super Dumpling – Just like a dumpling, wrapping a variety of flavors under its flour-made skin, underneath our flesh exist the palettes of our lives and memories. The "Super" denotes the culmination of each musician's exceptional abilities. Possible style description: experimental jazz, funk, and rock, but really, we are just trying to make music
